The compositional process begins with the virtuoso and sensitive improvisations of the Swiss artist, which are reinterpreted, fragmented, and expanded within an electronic context. The work explores both convergence and contrast, pushing elements of glitch, techno, and pop music to their extremes. Eschewing traditional notions of melody and accompaniment, the music constructs a dynamic interplay between acoustic and electronic environments, treating both as equal sound materials. Through techniques such as convolution, these identities are morphed and sculpted into a shared sonic space. Rarefied atmospheres, melodic bursts reminiscent of Renaissance vocal music, and rhythms evoking rave culture are woven into textural landscapes framed by a minimalist structure. Digital and acoustic sounds become blurred, at times indistinguishable, and at others revealed in their most traditional and pure forms. Occasionally, they retain their distinctiveness, yet reflect the shadow and resonance of their counterpart. The voice emerges as both container of the electronic and contained within it, oscillating between these two realms in a continual fusion that unfolds at a molecular level.
